I am a post traumatic growth, emotional intelligence and embodiment coach. I utilize embodiment tools to regulate the nervous system with communication tools like non violent communication to help establish boundaries and a connection to needs and feelings. In this container self love, self worth, and forward momentum prevail. I excel in helping clients find their ground during times of transition or when rising from the ashes.
I am passionate about helping people reclaim their innate power and reignite their zest by clearing away the dust and clouds. Through a gentle remembrance, learning to trust ourselves, and with permission to own our story, miracles can unfold. I received my Associate Certified Coach certificate (ACC) with JRNI Coaching, and am continuing my studies to obtain my ICF coaching accreditation through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). Additionally, I have been a Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT) for over 15 years, and have significant training in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and Empathic Listening.
I have navigated the waves of living with Lyme Disease and other chronic health conditions for several decades and through that have had the opportunity to embody many healing techniques and tools, and have immense compassion for anyone who has gone through or is going through health conditions. I believe in post traumatic growth as a catalyst for finding parts of you that you didn’t know existed.
I have first hand experience working with challenging limiting beliefs, strengthening boundaries, nurturing relationships, meditation, mindfulness, brain retraining, and other practices to soothe the nervous system. I use all of these tools and more to develop a coaching presence fit specifically for your needs. I also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivities and live as non toxically as possible. If you are looking to transition into a lesser toxic lifestyle, whether out of general desire or for health needs, this is something I can support you through. Additionally, I offer NVC mediation for conflict resolution in relationships.
All of these types of practices lay the groundwork for finding your strength and embodying your power. Most importantly, in a coaching relationship you are the driver of your own story, and I have the honor of being in a position to remind you of your beautiful core essence and shining the light on the path to greatness that you are already walking.
I am an Oregonian at heart and was raised in the countryside near Portland in a town called, Boring (yep, for real!). I currently live in Portland proper, but do all of my coaching virtually. I love communing with nature, cooking healing foods, seeking and gaining knowledge, and striving for authentic and rich connections with all beings. I am excited to meet you and work with you. Please reach out to me anytime!
"Wilderness is an amazing coach. I reached out for help during a very difficult and painful housing situation involving a friend. Her deep listening and background in Nonviolent Communication helped me to feel heard and affirmed. Together, we arrived at clear statements of feelings, needs and actionable requests which I was able to communicate to my friend. I'm happy to report that my needs are met and that my friendship continues to grow with new boundaries. From our session together, I learned new communication tools that help me get my needs met and make my relationships thrive. More importantly, with Wilderness' help, I moved through a difficult time in an authentic and empowered way." -Gavin K.

"What began as a communication standstill between close friends ended in a compassionate and understanding dialogue between three people who all wished to honor their personal needs while maintaining the care of friendship. Utilizing the tools of Nonviolent Communication, Wilderness offered an approach to mediation that amplified each individual, while acting as a calm guide - deterring us away from the blame game and further into acceptance of our differing experiences. What Wilderness acknowledged within our hurt was a commitment to friendship and the willingness within ourselves to communicate, express and move forward with new boundaries and fewer expectations." -Linnéa H.
