Coaching with me is like talking to that one friend who is always going to see the good in you, tell you the truth, and follow up with you about what you said you were going to do. It is a collaborative, interactive, and lighthearted thing. I joke around a lot, but I take our work together seriously. I shine a light on the good things you are already doing, help you figure out small steps to big change, and hold you accountable.
I'm Kayla. I'm originally from the rural midwest and moved to Colorado years ago. I went from being a black sheep to being totally in my element. As a coach, I hope I can help people do the same. I'm also a therapist and love it. When I'm not doing those things, I'm probably with my partner and dogs, with friends, mountain biking, or reading.
As a friendship coach, I help people connect to themselves through self compassion and self awareness. I help people figure out what they want in friendships and have meaningful, deep connections with friends. Friendship takes work and benefits us just as much as our romantic relationships. Believe it or not, there is science now about friendships and I use it to inform friendship coaching.
I also help people connect to nature and learn from nature. If you live in Colorado, part of how I coach is by taking people hiking and mountain biking. If you've never done those things and want to, I can help you with that too. I started all my outdoor activities when I was broke af. A mission of mine in life is to make our outdoor spaces inclusive and accessible.
