WITH ME

As a religious recovery and spirituality coach, my primary goal is to help you learn to trust yourself again.

Coaching with me looks like a lot of listening, some questions, and an opportunity to pay attention to how your body is responding in the present to the stresses of the past.

Once we get a picture of who you want to be, we can start making goals, gathering information, and trying out new ways to live into who you truly are without fear or shame from the past.

I CAN HELP WITH
ABOUT ME

I'm an ex-pastor that spent 29 years trying to fit into a religious tradition that refused to accept my whole self. I know the mental gymnastics of trying to get somebody else's structure to hold you up.

After burning out and discovering I couldn't do what I had been groomed to do my entire life, I discovered I wasn't the only one who struggled with toxic religion.

Getting out is the first step, but rebuilding a life, a circle of support, and a fresh way of thinking takes work and companionship. That's what I'm here to provide.

"Emily strikes such a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. She was so good at listening and synthesizing what I was saying, managing to pick out the exact thought, action, or direction that resonated with me. Emily listened and commented in a way that let me know she was deeply understanding where I was coming from, and it felt amazing to decide what to work on together, knowing I was in such good hands." -Miriam G.
